healing arts & yoga
GrassRoots believes that the festival experience can be a rejuvenating celebration. Whether you danced yourself in to the wee hours of the morning or are up early with your kids, the healing arts area is a place to restore and receive. Meditate, get a massage, enjoy a sound healing session, take a movement workshop or just come curiously to see what modalities may serve your needs.
Along the shady slope behind the craft vendors you’ll find deep healing bodywork, breath work, energy exchange, meridian alignment, esoteric spiritual practices and community. Explore a powerful wave of integrative
healing arts and relaxation. Rest your dancing feet and gather strength for the night ahead! We offer an extensive schedule of hands-on healing arts demonstrations at the healing arts information station.
Daily yoga and movement workshops at the dance tent and in the movement tent at in the healing arts area empower you to thrive in your festival experience.
Start your GrassRoots day with Diane Fine, a Kripalu trained and certified teacher, who has led GrassRoots yoga since 1996. Diane will guide you through poses appropriate for any level, beginner to master. Bring a yoga mat (or a towel or blanket) and a friend, and get yourself ready for another day of dancing and fun! Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning in the Dance Tent at 9am.
Other daily classes are available in the Healing Arts & Movement Tent if you’ll still be sleeping at 9am!
